Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

A stunning addition to patios and borders alike, this beautiful Fuji Cherry will delight you in early spring with its floral spring display. The double, pink blooms appear on naked stems before they become smothered in the characterstic serrated leaves, common to all cherry trees. Normally these delightful trees will grow to 4m tall, however as these are a top grafted standard, it will remain much smaller without any extra need for hard pruning. Meaning it will be perfect for containers on your patio! Height: 2.5m (98"). Spread: 2m (78").

Standard cherry supplied as top-worked head on approximately 1.5m (5’) clear stem.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 10 Litre Potted Plant (Standard) (83618)

Gradually acclimatise Fuji Cherry plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days. Plant cherry trees in any moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Incorporate plenty of compost or well-rotted manure prior to planting. Choose a final position in full sun.
Water Prunus trees regularly until fully established. Fuji Cherry ‘Kojo No Mai’ requires little attention. Simply remove any diseased, damaged or crossing shoots to maintain a healthy framework. When pruning cherries it is preferable to wait until midsummer to avoid the risk of ‘silver leaf’ infection. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant in spring, taking care not to mound mulch up against the stem.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.
