Delivery Information View Product DescriptionLoading...Description How to Grow DeliveryHailing from the Madagascan jungle, where it grows on trees, Rhipsalis baccifera subsp. horrida is an unusual trailing cactus with fleshy green stems covered in fine silvery bristles. As the plant grows, the stems start to branch and cascade over the sides of the pot, and small yellow flowers may be produced along their length. Intriguing and unusual yet undemanding and easy to grow, mouse tail cactus is perfect for beginners and busy plant parents. Unlike desert-dwelling cacti, Rhipsalis prefer a bright spot out of direct sun and watering before they become too dry.

Position Rhipsalis baccifera subsp. horrida in bright but indirect light – it can tolerate a couple of hours of early morning or evening sunlight, but will be scorched by strong sunlight. Water mouse tail cactus whenever the soil has mostly (but not completely) dried out and avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. Allow to drain – the soil should be moist but not soggy. Avoid humid environments such as bathrooms.
