  • Repeat-flowering scented blooms of cascading colour
  • Dense glossy foliage creates a splendid shrub rose
  • Exceptionally resistant to disease
Rose 'Bright as a Button' is a beautiful shrub rose which has distinctive two-toned flowers. The pale pink single blooms have dark magenta and gold centres and they are attractive to bees and beneficial insects. This bushy Persica hybrid rose has glossy foliage and exceptional disease resistance, making it a highly desirable addition to the border, formal rose garden or within pots and patio containers. Rose 'Bright as a Button' flowers repeatedly from May through to October provided it is dead-headed - and the scented blooms make great cut flowers which perfume the home. So many positive features, it's no wonder this rose has won several awards. Height: 100cm (40"). Spread: 90cm (36").

Flowering Months
Feed and water roses regularly. Deadhead faded flowers. In autumn apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant. In winter, begin pruning shrub roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Then reduce the stems lightly by no more than a third. Remaining side shoots should be reduced to two buds.

Plant bareroot roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. If planting is not possible then 'heel them in' by covering the roots with soil until conditions allow them to be planted in their permanent positions.

When growing roses, choose a position in fertile well drained soil in full sun. Roses are greedy plants so add a small handful of granular fertiliser and mix some well rotted manure or compost to the soil. Dig a hole of sufficient width and depth to comfortably accommodate the bareroot plant. Position the plant in the hole so that the base of the stems sits just below soil level. Backfill the soil around the roots of the plant, firm in, and water well.
