Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

Blooming from early summer right through to autumn, Rudbeckia 'Summerdaisy's Yellow' produces masses of eye-catching golden yellow flowers on bushy, vigorous and uniform plants. The large single blooms with their contrasting dark centres look superb in combination with ornamental grasses or deep purple or blue blooms such as salvias, as well as making a great addition to hot colour schemes. Relatively compact at only 50cm (20in) tall, this easy-to-grow hardy perennial is perfect for garden borders and container displays. The single blooms are very attractive to bees. Height and spread: 50cm (20in).

1 Jumbo Plug Plant (KF1759)

Pot up rudbeckia plants and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting outdoors later on. When plants are well-grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before planting them outdoors in sun or partial shade. Rudbeckia enjoys a fertile, preferably heavy soil that is rich in organic matter and well drained. Coneflowers resent drought and dislike soils that dry out in summer.
Feed and water rudbeckia plants regularly. Deadhead faded rudbeckia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.
