Deep Indigo flower spikes rise above clumps of aromatic, coarse green foliage in such density that they create a solid block of colour. This well known hardy perennial Sage makes a strong feature toward the front of borders where it will attract bees and butterflies to its nectar rich blooms. Salvia x sylvestris ‘Blue Queen’ is perfect for bringing midsummer colour to cottage garden borders and wildlife gardens. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 45cm (18"). Supplied as plug plants.

Pot up salvia plug plants into 9cm pots and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When perennial sage plants are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Transplant outdoors in a sheltered position on any light, moist but well drained soil in full sun.

Water regularly until salvia plants are fully established. Deadhead faded flowers throughout the summer to encourage more blooms to be produced.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Orders for packets of seed incur a delivery charge of £2.99.

Orders which include any other products will incur a delivery charge of £6.99.
