Silene 'Rolly's Favourite' is a remarkable variety that produces bubble gum pink blooms from spring to autumn. This unique hybrid, crossed with Lychnis, is ideal for softening the edges of borders and can also be used on the patio. These loosely sprawling Campion plants flourish in dappled shade or full sun, producing almost more flowers than foliage, making them worth growing for their flowering performance alone. Silene plants are a collection of understated, bushy, hardy perennials that are perfect for beginners and more experienced gardeners alike. Height and Spread: 40cm (16").

Grow silene plants on fertile, well drained, neutral to alkaline soil, in full sun or dappled shade. Avoid planting Campion in soils that are excessively wet in winter.

Water silene plants regularly until they are fully established. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps in spring. Campion flowers self-seed freely. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead stems of silene flowers as the blooms fade.
