Spiraea japonica 'Pink and Gold' makes a bold statement in the border, with golden foliage and bright pink flowers that will stop you in your tracks. In bloom from mid to late summer, the flowers also attract butterflies, bees and other pollinators, making this an excellent choice for the wildlife garden. As summer fades away, the foliage takes on its autumn shades, extending this plant’s season of interest well into October. Tough and resilient, Spirea are low maintenance shrubs that create a long-lasting display. Height and spread: 120cm (48").

Spiraea is best grown in a sunny position, in any fertile, moist, well-drained soil.

Prune Spiraea japonica cultivars in early spring, before the new leaves develop. Reduce all growth back by about a third to a permanent framework.
