Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

Syringa 'Princess Sturdza' bears large panicles of single, pink flowers in abundance during May and June. Like other Lilacs, Syringa ‘Princess Sturdza’ is intensely fragrant and makes a wonderful cut flower which will perfume the whole house. These fragrant blooms are also a boon to butterflies, moths and pollinating insects. Despite their delicate blooms, these fragrant beauties are incredibly tough and long-lived. They are a must-have for the early summer garden. Height: 3m (10 feet). Spread: 2m (7 feet).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 2 litre potted plant (KC6122)

Grow lilac plants in rich fertile, well drained, neutral or alkaline soil in full sun. Young Lilacs will benefit from a sheltered position.
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Prune lilac bushes in winter or spring by removing any damaged, diseased or misplaced stems before lightly shaping the remaining stems. After pruning, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the shrub.
