Better still it flowers in April - just in time for St George's Day! This patriotic tulip also has magnificent foliage striped with deep red. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 15cm (6").

Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten. Tulip bulbs should be planted in late autumn, with the pointed end facing upwards, at a depth of approximately 3 times their height. Make sure that they are planted deep enough - shallow planting may prevent the bulbs receiving the necessary winter cold period that is essential for them to produce flowers in spring. Choose a sunny position in moist, free draining soil.

After flowering, allow the foliage to die back completely before removing it in June/ July.
