Wallflower 'Winter Sorbet' produces stunning lilac-purple blooms which mature to shades of burnt orange to create a fragrant patchwork of colour. With a neat, compact habit, this evergreen erysimum hybrid is perfect for beds, borders and containers. This short lived perennial is usually grown as a biennial. Versatile and undemanding, it is tough enough to cope with even the poorest of soils. Height and spread: 50cm (20"). Supplied in 40mm plugs.

Pot up wallflower plants using free-draining compost, and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside. When plants are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting outdoors on free draining soil in full sun. Erysimum plants are tolerant of most neutral or alkaline soils and will even cope well on very poor soils.

Feed and water erysimum plants until they are fully established. Trim back wallflowers after flowering to prevent them from becoming leggy.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.
