A superb collection of two fragrant winter flowering varieties:
  • Jasminium nudiflorum has canary yellow blooms which smother the bare stems from February onwards - a sure sign that spring is on its way. This vigorous winter Jasmine has a loose sprawling habit that can easily be trained upwards with wires, but is equally happy to scramble over walls in a cascade of stiff, bright green stems
  • Lonicera purpusii 'Winter Beauty' will guarantee you winter colour in your garden. Related to the Common Honeysuckle, 'Winter Beauty' is a rounded, bushy shrub which is fully hardy, easy to maintain and features thousands of tiny blooms, each with a potent fragrance.

Supplied in 9cm pots.

2 plants in 9cm pots - 1 of each variety (V79221P)
4 plants in 9cm pots - 2 of each variety (V79222P)

Jasmine can be planted in containers or borders, in any moist, well drained soil and will even tolerate dry conditions. Position in a sunny site that is protected from cold winds in winter. Be sure to provide the twining stems with an appropriate support such as trellis or wires attached to fences and pergolas.

Plant shrubby honeysuckle in borders in any moist well drained soil. Position in a sunny or semi shaded site. Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established.
Jasmine: Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Prune out the oldest stems, and reduce the remaining stems to restrict their vigorous growth to the available space in autumn.

Winter flowering Honeysuckle plants can be pruned immediately after flowering. Prune back flowered stems to a pair of strong buds or vigorous younger growth and reduce remaining stems to restrict the shrub to the space available. In autumn apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant.
