Grow Oxalis plants in containers and troughs, or in sheltered rockeries and borders. In frost prone areas it is best grown in the greenhouse. Plant Oxalis bulbs at a depth of 3cm (1") in well drained, rich fertile soil or loam based compost such as John Innes No.2, in full sun. Water well to settle the soil.
Feed monthly and water as required throughout the growing season. Allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally before removing it. The bulbs require a short period of dormancy in summer. Allow the compost to dry out a little during this period so that it is just moist. When bulbs start into growth again, resume feeding and watering.
