Lavender 'Hidcote'

Lavandula angustifolia, English lavender

This RHS AGM variety is one of the best known English Lavenders and deservedly popular. Lavender 'Hidcote' forms neat, compact plants with attractive grey-green foliage and a superb fragrance. This outstanding lavender makes a delightful low hedge or fragrant edging to paths. Cut some lavender flowers for a wonderful scented posy, or dry them for a bowl of home-made pot pourri. Osteospermum 'Oasis'

African Daisy, Cape Daisy

Osteospermum 'Oasis' produces sparkling butter yellow flowers en masse, each one delicately highlighted with a central zone of mauve, just like an oasis in the desert. This cape daisy requires very little effort for worthwhile results. Osteospermums are ideal planted in patio pots, baskets or window boxes or used as ground cover for an impressive summer display. Height and spread: 40cm (16"). Supplied as plug plants.

Lavender 'Duo Collection'

Lavandula angustifolia, English lavender

Lavender makes an excellent low hedge or edging plant. The nectar-rich blooms are particularly attractive to bees, and the fragrant stems are ideal for cutting or drying. This drought-tolerant plant thrives in sunny borders or containers. Consists of 2 varieties:
Hidcote - An evergreen, aromatic semi-shrub with narrow, silver-grey leaves and leafless stems topped with deep, purple-blue tubular flowers in summer.

Clematis 'Freckles'

Clematis cirrhosa var. purpurascens 'Freckles', Old Man's Beard

This eye-catching evergreen clematis gives a much needed injection of colour to the winter garden, when not many other plants are in flower. This is the earliest of the spring flowering clematis, with cup-shaped pink blooms freckled with maroon-red markings, hence the name freckles. The delicate blooms are followed by attractive fluffy seedheads that sit above glossy evergreen leaves. Clematis 'Freckles' only needs minimal pruning and makes an excellent specimen for containers and borders. Height: 3m (10'). Spread: 1.5m (5'). Pruning group: 1. Supplied in 9cm pot.
