Cape Fuchsia 'Funfare Collection'

Phygelius (Cape Figwort, Phygelius 'Funfair')

Long pendulous flower spikes drape like exquisite chandeliers from the flowering stems of Cape Fuchsia 'Funfare Collection'. Specially bred for a neat and compact growth habit, these impressive Phygelius plants are free-flowering and easy to grow, making an exotic addition to tropical themed patio pots and borders. In mild parts of the UK they may be grown as a semi-evergreen shrub if winter protection is provided. However in most parts, where cold frosts cut back the tender stems in winter, it is best grown as a perennial. Supplied as plug plants. Height: 40cm (16"). 50cm (20").

Grasses 'White, Black and Red Collection'

Liriope 'Pure Blonde', Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens', Uncinia rubra 'Everflame' (Lilyturf, Black Mondo, Red Hook Sedge)

Although not true grasses, these evergreen hardy perennials will provide colourful grass-like foliage all year round. Neat clumps of linear leaves give an architectural presence in containers, at the front of borders or dotted throughout rockeries. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 40cm (16"). Supplied in 9cm pots.

Tree Fern, Australian Tree Fern

Dicksonia antarctica

The Australian Tree Fern makes an extraordinary sight! Long, finely cut fronds of up to 1.5m (5’) unfurl from the crown in a truly magnificent display that adds drama to damp, shaded areas of the garden. Native to Australia, Dicksonia antarctica is hardy to around -5°C (23°F) and thrives in the relatively mild, wet climate of the UK. This slow growing RHS AGM species forms only 3cm of trunk per year, taking many years to reach its ultimate height of around 4m. A truly exciting addition to a sheltered garden and perfect for woodland areas and exotic borders. Supplied in 2 litre pot. Height and spread: 4m (13’).
