The sumptuous, velvety maroon-brown blooms of the Chocolate Cosmos make a fabulous feature in late summer borders. With their richly coloured petals and delicious cocoa fragrance this is definitely one for chocoholics. The nectar rich blooms are irresistible to pollinating insects too! Bred in the UK, Cosmos 'Chocamocha' has a compact, bushy habit that is ideal for patio containers or the front of sunny borders. Although often grown as an annual, this lovely Cosmos can easily be over-wintered as a perennial when grown in containers and kept in frost free conditions. Supplied as plug plants. Although not true grasses, these evergreen hardy perennials will provide colourful grass-like foliage all year round. Campsis x tagliabuana 'Madame Galen' is a remarkable, fast-growing climber, producing striking trumpet-shaped flowers during late summer. This plant may appear tropical but it is actually hardy in the UK and easy to grow.

Trumpet Vine is an impressive climbing plant and once established, will thrive on neglect, so it is perfect for lazy or busy gardeners. Campsis is an ideal choice to cover walls and fences and it climbs by aerial roots, sometimes reaching up to 12m (39') tall! The Australian Tree Fern makes an extraordinary sight! Long, finely cut fronds of up to 1.5m (5’) unfurl from the crown in a truly magnificent display that adds drama to damp, shaded areas of the garden. Native to Australia, Dicksonia antarctica is hardy to around -5°C (23°F) and thrives in the relatively mild, wet climate of the UK. This slow growing RHS AGM species forms only 3cm of trunk per year, taking many years to reach its ultimate height of around 4m. Chinese Foxglove

The bright pink summer blooms of the Chinese Foxglove make an unusual feature that shine out beautifully from the front of sunny borders. Flowering over a long period, this superb perennial will continue well into autumn above rosettes of coarsely toothed foliage. Although perfectly hardy, Rehmannia elata resents damp winter weather and is best lifted and overwintered in a protected, dry position.
