Fig 'Brown Turkey'

Fig 'Brown Turkey' is self fertile and can be grown very successfully outdoors, being fully hardy and specially selected for the UK climate. This popular fig tree produces large crops of sweet, juicy fruits with a deep red flesh under the brown skins, developing in spring and ripening from August to September. A second crop will often develop in late summer and these fruits will ripen during the following summer as long as they are protected over winter. The attractive lobed foliage means that figs make a fine feature when trained against a sunny wall or grown in a container on the patio. . Height: 3m (9'). Spread: 4m (13'). Supplied in 9cm pots.

Unlike other varieties, the exceptionally sweet fruit of this spectacular climber are virtually hairless. This vigorous hardy Kiwi is self fertile, making it perfect for the smaller garden where there is only room for one plant. An attractive climber with mid-green foliage and clusters of deliciously fragrant small white flowers in summer. The oval fruits can be harvested in September. Height: 6m (20') Spread: 4m (13'). Redcurrant 'Jonkheer van Tets'

A popular RHS AGM variety, Redcurrant 'Jonkheer van Tets' is strong growing and productive. This Modern Dutch Redcurrant produces a high yield of sweet fruit on long trusses from early summer onwards. Crops can be used to make delicious desserts, jams and jellies. Solanum muricatum (Mini Melon)

Melon Pear, Melon Shrub, Pepino Dulce

Also known as the 'Melon Pear' or 'Pepino Dulce', this unusual South American fruit has deliciously juicy flesh with a sweet flavour similar to a cantaloupe melon. The rounded fruits have a creamy skin with distinctive purple markings - fabulous for something a little bit different in the kitchen garden! This hardy Pomegranate will tolerate temperatures down to -15°C (5°F) and by year 3 will be producing tasty fruit in a warm, sheltered spot. A deciduous shrub or multi-stemmed tree, Pomegranate 'Provence' makes a fantastic specimen plant for borders or large containers. Vibrant orange-red flowers are borne over a long period in summer, amongst glossy bright green leaves. The leathery-skinned fruits ripen in mild autumns ready for harvesting in October or November. These delicious pomegranate fruits can be enjoyed in desserts or try juicing them for a refreshing sweet-sharp drink. Height: 3m (10'). Spread: 1.5m (5'). Supplied in a 3 litre pot.

Blackcurrant 'Ebony'

Ribes nigrum

This outstanding dessert variety is the sweetest blackcurrant ever - so sweet that it can be eaten straight from the bush. 'Ebony' produces heavy crops of large, firm currants - up to twice the size of normal blackcurrants - which can be harvested from early to mid July. The plants are bushy with a slightly open, spreading habit, making harvesting so easy. Easy to grow and with excellent mildew resistance. Height and spread: 120cm (47").
