Pot up Heucherella bareroots at the earliest opportunity following delivery. Plant them so that the crown of the plant is just a few cm below soil level and grow on in a cool frost free position. When plants are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days and transplant into borders and patio containers. Heucherella plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to waterlogging. Plant them in a moist, well drained, non alkaline soil adding compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or very sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun or semi shade.
Feed, water and weed between plants regularly until they are fully established. Apply mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant in autumn or spring. Lift and divide clumps of Heucherella every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
We will do our best to ship your plants or bulbs to you at the ideal time for planting as stated against each product. We recommend that you prepare your soil, planting beds or patio containers ahead of time so you are ready to plant out, or pot on, just as soon as your order arrives. You will find the name of the variety printed on the top line of the address label on your package. Please ensure that you open the packaging immediately and carefully read through the instruction leaflet provided. For greatest success, please pot on or plant out as soon as possible, following the cultural instructions enclosed with your order.
