Pot up plants into 9cm pots and grow them on in warm frost free conditions for transplanting into rockeries and containers later on. Water sparingly. When all risk of frost has passed, and plants are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Plant in any well drained soil in full sun at 45cm (18") apart to form a dense carpet. If planting on heavy or clay soils, dig in plenty of coarse grit or sharp sand to improve drainage prior to planting.
Weed between plants until they are established. Feed and water aubretia until it is fully established. Cut back hard after flowering to promote a fresh flush of growth and maintain its compact form.
