Aubrieta 'Royal Mixed' (Aubretia) Rare hybrid Superb cut flower For ground cover with supreme flowering ability this variety of an old favourite takes a lot of beating. They will tumble happily from cracks in walls, creep across rockeries, and crawl through the front of mixed borders. Forming dense mats of evergreen foliage with a profusion of spring blooms, these tough little plants thrive in reasonably poor soils with a toughness that belies their beauty. Sarcococca hookeriana var. humilis (Christmas Box, Sweet box) The white spidery flowers have a fragrance so heady that it will stop you in your tracks.
