Stately crimson-budded spikes of bloom open to lilac, giving the flowers a magical two toned effect. Ideal for damp, shady spots and simply stunning in large groups around bog gardens and woodlands. Their stout erect stems also make superb cut flowers for a pretty posy indoors. Ideal companion for Primula candelabra. Height: 60cm (24"). Supplied as 30mm plugs.

Pot up plugs into 9cm pots and grow them on in cool, lightly shaded conditions. When primula plants are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days prior to planting them in their final positions. Plant primula in containers and borders in fertile, reliably moist soil. Primula vialii prefers a shaded position but will cope in full sun if soil is constantly moist.

Feed and water plants regularly. Do not let soil dry out completely.Deadhead faded primula flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of border grown plants.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
