Cauliflower 'Multi-Headed' is a neat, compact plant with good tolerance to insect damage and fungal disease, that can easily be grown on the patio. If the main head is harvested in August, this novel variety will produce 3 to 5 side shoots, each with their own mini curd! These tasty little cauliflowers are perfect for individual servings.Height:30cm (12”). Spread: 45cm (18”).

Grow cauliflower plants in a sheltered position on firm, rich fertile, well drained soil in full sun. Prepare the soil in early spring by adding plenty of well rotted farmyard manure to the soil to improve its structure and fertility. Apply lime to acid soils to reduce the acidity and lessen the risk of clubroot. Plant cauliflowers at a distance of 60cm (24”) apart and cover with a protective netting or fleece to prevent attack from birds and insects. Water the plants thoroughly after planting.

Water cauliflowers regularly and do not allow them to dry out as this may impair their development. Hoe between plants regularly to prevent weeds from establishing and bring insect larvae to the surface. Harvest the main curd of Cauliflower ‘Multi-headed’ at tennis ball size to promote the production of side shoots and more curds. Culinary note: Cauliflowers freeze well.
