Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
This stylish duo of African Lilies are the perfect planting partners! From early summer, their showy blooms crown the stiff, upright stems, over a long period. Agapanthus make a particularly elegant choice for patio containers, and work equally well in borders. These low maintenance, clump forming perennials are reliable and trouble free, getting bigger and better each year. Height and spread: 60cm (24").

Agapanthus Duo comprises:

  • Agapanthus ‘Fireworks’ - Exotic-looking, two-tone flowers that won't fade in colour.
  • Agapanthus 'Poppin' Purple' - An elegant display of dark, purple-black buds that open to reveal starry, violet blooms.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Flowering Months
Feed and water African Lilies regularly throughout the growing season. Leave faded Agapanthus flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads during autumn. When the first frost blacken the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect plants outdoors from severe winter weather by providing a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn. Container grown plants can be moved to a frost free position over winter. Divide agapanthus clumps in spring when they become over crowded.
Grow Agapanthus plants in rich fertile, well drained soil, in a sunny position. When growing Agapanthus in patio containers use a soil based compost, such as John Innes No.3 .
