Airplant Caput Medusa

You can see how this intriguing variety got its name, with twisted and tangled leaves which resemble the wild snaky hair of Medusa. Tillandsia caput-medusae (which translates to Medusa’s Head air plant) makes a fascinating house plant, not only for its foliage but also for its bright pink flower which appears during the summer months to bring a splash of colour. Being an air plant, it doesn’t require any soil or potting up, allowing it to be displayed in a variety of contemporary ways, such as in a vase, hanging glass ball, terrarium or nestled into ornamental wood. Perfect for a modern interior, give this low maintenance plant it a spot in a well-lit room and spritz with water every now and then and it will be quite happy. Height: 40cm (16”).
