Aloes are a familiar house plant, but now you can enjoy Aloe 'Safari Sunrise' outdoors too. This spiky evergreen perennial is ideal for planting in a pot on a sunny patio, or adding to a rockery display. The succulent foliage forms a dense, rounded clump which is decorated with upright flower spikes in warm sunset shades. This unusual Aloe is free-flowering, producing a succession of blooms, all through the summer.

Despite its exotic looks, Aloe ‘Safari Sunrise’ is hardier than you might expect. It can tolerate temperatures as low as 2C (35F) but it is best overwintered in a cold greenhouse or conservatory to protect it from cold, wet conditions. Height and spread: 90cm (36").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Plant Aloe in containers of gritty, well-drained soil and position in full sun. For outdoor displays, plunge the container directly into the soil so that it can be easily removed in autumn for overwintering.
Water frequently to maintain evenly moist compost. Avoid leaving Aloe in standing water as this may cause it to rot. Aloe should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. In winter, Aloe should be moved to a warm, bright position indoors, with a minimum temperature of 2C (35F).
