You’ll be amazed at how resilient these Peruvian Lilies are. Despite their exotic looks, these tough perennials will tolerate temperatures as low as -15C (5F). These varieties come from the Summer Paradise Series, bred for a compact habit and short stems that won’t need staking. The Alstroemeria ‘Valley Collection’ are ideal for patio containers, perennial borders and cut flower gardens, producing plenty of blooms for a vase indoors. Height and spread: 45cm (18").

Alstroemeria ‘Valley Collection’ comprises:

  • Alstroemeria 'Holiday Valley' - Rich orange blooms make a colourful display throughout summer.
  • Alstroemeria 'Spring Valley' - Golden-yellow blooms are decorated with contrasting, bright red markings.
  • Alstroemeria 'Times Valley' - Pale blooms are blushed pink towards the outer edges, and freckled with contrasting dark burgundy markings

Flowering Months
Throughout the growing season, water Peruvian lilies regularly and feed container grown plants each month. When picking alstroemeria pluck the flowers rather than cutting as plucking stimulates the rhizome encourage further growth. In autumn, cut back the old Alstroemeria flower stems and apply a dry mulch of chipped bark or straw to the base of the plant to protect it from cold winter weather. Alstroemeria prefers to be left undisturbed but can be divided in autumn or spring if clumps become overcrowded. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes.
Pot up Alstroemeria plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When all risk of frost has passed, plant Peruvian Lilies in a sunny or semi shaded position in fertile, moist, well drained soil. Alternatively, plant Alstroemeria in patio containers in soil based compost such as John Innes No.3.
