The short-spurred, double blooms are produced from spring to midsummer, nodding on short stalks above a basal mound of attractive blue-green, finely divided foliage. These classic ‘Granny’s bonnets’ are perfect for weaving through informal borders in sun or part shade. Height: 45cm (18”). Spread: 40cm (16”).

Grow aquilegias in sun or part shade in any fertile, moist, well drained soil.Columbines hybridize readily. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead faded aquilegia flowers to prevent them self seeding. Aquilegias dislike disturbance but overcrowded clumps may be lifted and divided in spring when necessary.Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
