Elegant spathes of the purest white are set against a backdrop of large glossy, heart shaped leaves. This sumptuous, architectural perennial makes a striking impression in moist borders, bog gardens, or as a marginal at a ponds edge. The stunning blooms, perfect in their simplicity, can also be used for long lasting and truly sophisticated cut flowers. Height and spread: 90cm (36"). Tuber size 12/14 cm.

Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten. Grow Arum Lilies in sunny borders in rich fertile, moist or boggy soil. When growing in containers, use a loam based compost such as John Innes No. 2. Alternatively, plant Zantedeschia as a marginal plant at the edge of ponds. Fill aquatic baskets with aquatic or heavy garden soil, and plant tubers just below the soil surface. Gently lower containers into the water and position them in water up to 30cm (12") deep.

Feed and water border and container grown plants regularly and ensure that the soil is kept moist. Apply a deep mulch around the crown of border grown plants in autumn to protect them from hard frosts. Lift and divide clumps of white Arum Lily every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
