An exotic looking tender perennial with eye-catching silver speckled, heart-shaped foliage. Begonia maculata has large leaves that sit above erect stems and produces groups of light pink or white blooms from June through to August and creates a wonderful display. This exquisite house plant will thrive in a warm and light area of your home that isn't directly in the sun. Ideal for the conservatory! Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 50cm (20"). Position Begonia maculata in a warm room away from cold draughts and radiators, with a constant temperature above 16C (60F). This Begonia requires a bright but lightly shaded spot, well away from the direct glare of the sun.

Water Begonia plants freely between spring and autumn, allowing the pot to drain well after each watering. In winter, reduce watering but do not allow the compost to completely dry out. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Begonia maculata appreciates a humid atmosphere - stand it on a tray filled with pebbles and water. As the water evaporates it will increase humidity around the plant.
