Give sunny borders a colourful focal point with this vibrant Japanese Barberry. Coral-pink and orange leaves add a bright splash of colour, contrasting beautifully with the green foliage of other shrubs. With a columnar, upright habit, Berberis thunbergii 'Florence' is neat enough to fit into narrow borders, while adding plenty of structural impact to planting schemes. The tiny yellow spring flowers are loved by pollinating insects, making this a great choice for a wildlife area. This hardy, deciduous Berberis responds well to pruning and makes a fine hedging plant. Height: 150cm (59”). Spread: 60cm (24”).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Berberis require little maintenance once established. Trim back the stems lightly after flowering, removing dead or damaged growth at the same time.
Plant Berberis in full sun or partial shade, on a reliably moist, well-drained soil. Barberry plants are extremely resilient and will grow on many different soil types, except waterlogged.
