Add a splash of colour to mixed borders – even where space is in short supply! This Berberis Trio creates a fabulous focal point, offering plenty of seasonal interest. With columnar, upright habits and vibrant pink-purple foliage, these hardy deciduous Barberry shrubs make a showy feature. The yellow spring flowers are followed by red berries and a good display of autumn colour. Plant them as individual specimens or grouped together for maximum impact! Height: Up to 150cm (59"). Spread: 60cm (24").

  • Berberis Trio comprises one plant each of:
  • Berberis thunbergii ‘Chiquita’ - Rounded foliage emerges pink, deepening to burgundy with a delicate pale gold margin.
  • Berberis thunbergii 'Chocolate Summer' - Seductively dark, purple-brown foliage covers the upright, red stem.
  • Berberis thunbergii 'Florence' - New foliage covers its upright stems with coral pink and orange leaves in spring.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Plant Berberis in full sun or partial shade, on a reliably moist, well-drained soil. Barberry plants are extremely resilient and will grow on many different soil types, except waterlogged.
Berberis require little maintenance once established. Trim back the stems lightly after flowering, removing dead or damaged growth at the same time.
