One of the best late season Blueberry varieties available! The white flowers have a pretty, pink tint that makes an attractive spring display. As summer progresses, Blueberry 'Elliot' boasts excellent crops of flavoursome, firm berries - delicious eaten fresh or added to jams and preserves. With vibrant autumn foliage, this plant make a fabulous addition to borders and patio containers. This blueberry is self fertile, but for bigger crops we recommend growing this blueberry alongside a different variety, to aid cross pollination. These shrubs will delight you all year round with pretty white flowers in spring, luscious berries in summer and bright red foliage in autumn. Height and spread: 120cm (48").

Blueberries require a well drained, acid soil in a sunny or semi shaded position. In areas where acid soil does not naturally occur, grow blueberry plants in patio containers using a mix of ericaceous compost and John Innes No. 3.

If possible, blueberries should be watered with rainwater because the lime contained in tap water will reduce the acidity in the soil over time. Blueberries will begin to produce fruit in their third year. As fruits begin to develop, cover the plants with netting to protect the berries from birds. From their third year, begin to prune out the oldest stems each autumn to promote new growth and maintain a healthy plant framework.
