Brachyglottis 'Walberton's Silver Dormouse' stands out with its bigger, bolder and extremely silvery foliage, earning this excellent cultivar an RHS Award of Garden Merit. This bushy shrub is well clothed in its felted grey foliage which acts as the perfect foil for other drought tolerant shrubs such as Cistus and Lavender, creating a Mediterranean vibe. This resilient shrub is perfect for dry, sunny borders, rockeries and exposed coastal locations, offering compact mounds of evergreen foliage throughout the year and contrasting bright yellow daisy flowers from summer to autumn that attract pollinators. Ultimate height: 90cm (35in). Ultimate spread: 120cm (47in).

Grow Brachyglottis in any well drained soil in full sun. Brachyglottis is wind tolerant and makes a good choice for coastal locations, but will appreciate some protection during especially cold periods.

Brachyglottis requires little maintenance once established. Lightly trim after flowering if necessary, to maintain a neat bushy appearance.
