An exciting breeding breakthrough has produced this astonishing patio buddleja! The short stems and compact growing habit make it perfect for growing in patio containers and small gardens. In summer Buddleja Buzz® Indigo produces masses of fragrant, dense flower spikes that will attract clouds of butterflies to your garden. Like its larger relatives, this dwarf Butterfly Bush is hardy and easy to grow in almost any situation. Height and spread: 120cm (48”). Supplied as 5cm plug plants.

Pot up Buddleja plugs and grow them on in bright, frost free conditions until they are well grown and fully rooted into their pots. Gradually acclimatise butterfly bushes to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days before planting out in sunny borders in any moist, well drained soil.

Feed and water buddleja plants until they are well established. Once established, Buddleja requires little attention throughout the growing season and is reasonably tolerant of dry soil. In spring, prune all buddleja stems back to 3 or 4 buds from the previous year’s growth and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant.
