Strong, upright stems hold panicles of clear blue flowers, 15-20cm long.

Buddleja davidii 'Psychedelic Sky' has a tidy form with erect branches that reach to just under 6 feet tall.. Given a sunny spot, Buddleja davidii ‘Psychedelic Sky’ will pump out flowers from July to autumn. Its honey-scented blooms are irresistible to butterflies. Use as a feature shrub at the back of the border, or even a flower-filled hedge. A robust, fast-growing and long-flowering shrub that tolerates a wide range of soil types including poor, dry ones. Height: 1.2-1.8m (4-6ft). Spread: 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft).

Grow buddleja in garden borders in any moist, well drained garden soil, in full sun or semi-shade. Alternatively grow buddleja plants in patio containers using soil based compost such as John Innes No.3.

Feed and water container-grown plants regularly. Buddleja planted directly into borders will require only occasional attention. In spring, prune buddleja plants back to a permanent low framework of 3 or 4 buds from the base of the plant. Deadhead faded buddleja flowers to prolong the flowering season.
