A beautiful deciduous shrub, producing a profusion of scented white flowers from July to September. The arching branches are covered in slender, silvery leaves, making an excellent contrast to green or purple-leaved plants. Also known as the Butterfly Bush, Buddleja davidii 'White Ball' is highly attractive to pollinating insects, particularly butterflies. It's compact habit makes it perfect for blending into mixed borders, cottage gardens or large patio containers. As with most Buddlejas, this variety thrives in hot, sunny positions where it tolerates drought well. Height and spread: 2m (6.5').

Buddleja plants enjoy a sunny position in any moist, well drained soil.

Feed and water buddleja plants until they are well established. Once established, Buddleja requires little attention throughout the growing season and is reasonably tolerant of dry soil. In spring, prune all buddleja stems back to 3 or 4 buds from the previous year’s growth and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant.
