This bargain Bulb and Bareroot Collection delivers right from late spring, with swathes of bearded irises in sumptuous shades from velvety violet to dazzling orange. In quick succession is a generous scoop of some of the most popular bulbs offering all-summer colour for spicing up borders and containers. Alongside, we’ve teamed up these five wonderful bulb selections with the fabulous foliage of our five best hostas which will keep performing right through until autumn. And just when you thought the show was over, the irises return to deliver a surprise September and October finale, as the ones we have chosen are all ‘remontant’ varieties which will bloom again at the end of the year.

Summer-flowering Bulbs, 100 bulbs:

• Gladioli Mix (10 bulbs) - The hardiest gladioli available! Excellent for planting in groups where they will form large clumps over time. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 15cm (6").
• Allium moly (25 bulbs) - A vigorous little Allium bearing dense clusters of star-shaped, golden yellow flowers from late spring. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 5cm (2").
• Oxalis tetraphylla 'Iron Cross' (25 bulbs) – A pretty little shamrock bearing distinctive foliage which from early summer is paired with rosy-pink, tubular flowers. Height and spread: 15cm (6").
• Brodiaea ‘Queen Fabiola’ (25 bulbs) Also known as Triteleia, in late spring and early summer bears dense clusters of starry deep blue flowers above clumps of fine, grass-like foliage. Height: 30cm. Spread: 15cm (6”).
• Acidanthera (15 bulbs) - Also known Peacock Orchid, these summer blooming gladioli have upright, sword-like foliage and exotic, starry flowers with maroon patterning at the centre. Graced with a wonderful scent and make long-lasting cut flowers. Height: 90cm (36”), Spread: 30cm (12”).

Hostas, 5 Bare Roots, 1 each of the following:

• Hosta 'Francee'- Tough and weatherproof with foliage that is deeply ribbed and edged in jagged, cream margins. Height: 55cm (22"). Spread: 100cm (39").
• Hosta 'September Sun'- Golden leaves with irregular, dark green margins that still look good towards the end of summer. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 100cm (39").
• Hosta 'Marmalade on Toast'- Corrugated, heart shaped, blue-green foliage with gently wavy margins. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 100cm (39").
• Hosta 'Brim Cup'- Compact variety with dark green foliage edged in a broad, creamy-white margin. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 60cm (24").
• Hosta 'Frances Williams'- Relatively slug resistant with blue-green foliage and bright golden margins. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 100cm (39").
