A white Bellflower with dazzling, cup-shaped blooms which rise upon tall stems in early summer. Campanula persicifolia var. alba is a cottage garden essential, illuminating borders with its clean and elegant display. It makes a particularly useful choice for lightly shaded borders where its flowers last longer and help to brighten the gloom. The dark green foliage is evergreen, providing some colour and interest throughout winter. This reliable hardy perennial is ideal for the back of herbaceous borders. The graceful blooms make a fabulous cut flower too. Height: 70cm (27”). Spread: 30cm (12”).

Grow Campanula persicifolia in any moist, fertile, well drained, non-acidic soil. Campanula will thrive in sun or semi shade, but the dainty bell-flowers will last longer in a slightly shaded position.

Water regularly until Campanula plants are fully established. After flowering, cut back the plants to remove faded Campanula flowers and promote a second flush of blooms. Divide overcrowded clumps in spring or autumn to maintain vigour.
