This low growing hardy perennial has a lovely spreading habit. Branching stems produce loose sprays of star-shaped, violet-blue flowers that are irresistible to pollinating insects. Vigorous and free flowering, Campanula poscharskyana 'Stella' requires little maintenance once established. At its best when trailing from stone walls, creeping through rockeries or filling the gaps between paving stones. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Grow Campanula in moist, but well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Try to avoid soil that sits wet over the winter months.

Water regularly until Campanula plants are fully established. After flowering, cut back the plants to remove faded Campanula flowers and promote a second flush of blooms. Divide overcrowded clumps in spring or autumn to maintain vigour.
