Brand New for 2022, Caryopteris ‘Sapphire Dream’ bears vibrant, golden-yellow foliage providing bright colour for the border even before the electric blue flowers appear. Caryopteris are hardy shrubs which love dry and sunny borders where they create late summer colour, performing long after most other flowering plants have finished. Their nectar rich blooms are a magnet for pollinating insects, making them excellent wildlife garden plants. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 150cm (59").

Grow Caryopteris plants in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. In very cold areas, where summers are cool and winter temperatures fall below -15C, plant near a warm, sunny wall.

In spring each year, trim back the previous year’s flowered stems to within 2 or 3 buds of the woody framework.
