Caryota mitis

Grow in bright indirect light, well away from direct sunlight. Avoid positioning this plant close to cold draughts and radiators. Maintain an average room temperature of 15-25°C. Water regularly to keep the top 2 inches of compost consistently moist whilst ensuring good drainage so the root ball is never saturated. This houseplant appreciates high humidity so spray it regularly or place the pot on a pebble tray half filled with water. Reduce watering during the winter. Feed every 2-3 weeks during the growing season (March to September).
