Description How to Grow Delivery

Plant Cerastium tomentosum into rock crevices, paving cracks, walls and gravel gardens where it will form a spreading mat of silvered foliage followed by incredible quantities of white starry flowers in spring/summer. This vigorous, drought-tolerant perennial will quickly cover dry banks and other difficult, sun-parched spots. Height: 15cm (6in). Spread: 60cm (24in).

In spring and early summer, this unusual and dainty perennial bears pendulous, white, bell-shaped flowers just above a low mound of soft, pale green leaves. Suits an alpine trough, rockery or dry border which doesn't sit wet over winter. Attractive to bees and butterflies. Height: 60cm (24in). Spread: 40cm (16in).
