Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
A low maintenance, drought resistant plant that thrives in harsh conditions such as exposed coastal gardens, Choisya ternata, Mexican Orange Blossom, as the name suggests is originally from Mexico. It has dark green, oval foliage that is evergreen, and star shaped, highly scented white flowers. It flowers when many other shrubs are dormant for the autumn, winter and early spring. A few Choisya ternata planted alongside each makes a very pretty hedge. Height and spread: 2.5m (8').

Flowering Months
Water regularly throughout the growing season until Choisya plants are well established. Mexican Orange Blossom requires little attention, but benefits from a trim each year to keep it neat and tidy. After flowering, trim or lightly cut back shoots to a healthy pair of buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant in spring.
Grow Choisya in any well drained soil in full sun or semi shade, with shelter from strong winds. Alternatively grow Choisya in patio containers filled with loam-based compost such as John Innes No.3.
