This hard working shrub bears a profusion of flowers in winter and spring, just when the garden is at it dullest. Fragrant pale yellow, pea-like blooms stand out against a backdrop of blue-green foliage that remains evergreen. With a compact, rounded habit Coronilla glauca 'Citrina' is ideal for gardens of any size, adding a splash of valuable winter colour to sunny borders. Coronilla is particularly useful in coastal areas where it will happily tolerate exposed conditions. This hardy shrub also makes a superb wall shrub. Height and spread: 100cm (39").

Grow coronilla in well-drained soil in full sun, for best results choose a sheltered spot and add plenty of grit to the planting hole to help with drainage. Also suitable for growing in containers and training against a wall.
Water regularly until established, but once established, Coronilla will tolerate drought conditions. Requires very little maintenance, no additional feed is required. After flowering, in May lightly trim shoots. Coronilla will not tolerate hard pruning.
