Cotoneaster horizontalis provides colour and variety from spring to autumn. In May, this low-growing shrub produces dainty flowers of a pink-white colour. These blooms are replaced with red, autumn berries, making the hardy shrub popular with a variety of birds.

The deciduous nature of this ground cover means that the oval shaped leaves then turn from glossy green to brilliant orange and red before falling to reveal the distinctive herringbone pattern of silver-brown branches. These branches also make Cotoneaster horizontalis an ideal candidate for training up a wall, using wires. Alternatively, the spreading stems cover ground well in a border, provided they are grown in sunlight or partial shade. Height: 1m (3'3"); Spread: 1.5m (4'11").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
