Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

The soft foliage of Cryptomeria japonica ‘Elegans Viridis’ is irresistibly tactile. Gently drooping branches, with attractive red bark, form a wide, pyramidal tree cascading with feathery plumes of soft, pale green foliage. Unlike other conifers, the foliage persists in its juvenile form, never hardening into tough and prickly adult needles. Even if you don’t normally like conifers, this is a variety which is sure to win you over to their charms. Its beautiful shape and sublime texture adds all year-round interest. Use it as focal specimen or plant in a row to create a dense evergreen screen. RHS Award of Garden Merit. Maximum height: 9m (29.5ft). Spread: 13ft (4m).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
