Forming lovely, rounded cushions of bright emerald-green, Cryptomeria japonica ‘Green Pearl’ makes a neat specimen for a rock garden, Japanese garden or front garden border. Its shaggy foliage provides all year round texture and is accompanied by spherical cones. Grows approximately 10-15cm per year. Height: 30cm (1ft). Spread: 45cm (1.5ft) in 10 years.

Grow Cryptomeria plants in moist, but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Choose a position that is sheltered from cold, drying winds.

Once established, Cryptomeria plants require no pruning or maintenance.
