  • Winter flowering
  • Hardy evergreen
This hardy evergreen shrub makes a superb specimen plant for brightening your winter garden. The strongly scented, pale pink flowers brave the coldest winter months to provide a fantastic, fragrant display that lasts well into spring. Its glossy, elongated, dark green foliage has an attractive pale yellow edging that brings plenty of summer interest too. Daphne odora 'Aureomarginata' has a pleasing rounded habit and requires virtually no maintenance. Height and spread 150cm (59"). Supplied in an 8cm pot.

Flowering Months
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established, Daphne plants require only occasional attention. Pruning Daphne is best kept to a minimum, removing only occasional damaged stems and lightly trimming those that spoil the shape of the plant in summer after flowering.
Caution: Irritant to skin and eyes. Toxic if eaten. Grow Daphne plants moist, fertile, well drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Choose a position in sun or semi shade. When growing in containers use a soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Daphne resents root disturbance so try to avoid this when transplanting as this may delay plant establishment.
