A triumph in Daphne breeding, Daphne 'Perfume Princess' produces delicate pink flowers, nearly double the size of Daphne odora blooms, and with the same powerful fragrance. Although slow-growing, this compact shrub is worth the wait as the stems become clothed in flowers throughout March and April, amongst large, glossy green leaves. Grow this beautiful hardy evergreen shrub in mixed borders or woodland gardens for year-round interest. Height and spread: 1.2m (4'). Supplied in a 13cm pot.

Flowering Months
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established, Daphne bushes require only occasional attention. Pruning Daphne is best kept to a minimum, removing only occasional damaged stems and lightly trimming those that spoil the shape of the plant in summer after flowering.
Caution: Irritant to skin and eyes. Toxic if eaten. Grow Daphne shrubs in moist, fertile, well drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Choose a position in sun or semi shade. When growing in containers use a soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Daphne plants resent root disturbance so try to avoid this when transplanting as this may delay plant establishment.
