Description How to Grow More Info Delivery Reviews
For a long-flowering, semi-evergreen, highly fragrant shrub, you can't go wrong with Daphne 'Pink Fragrance'. Beautiful clusters of pink flowers bloom over an exceptionally long period from March right through to October. This lovely daphne variety will keep some foliage all year round, dropping only some of its leaves. Compact and slow-growing, 'Pink Fragrance' will thrive in a container in free-draining, fertile soil in a sunny spot – make the most of its lovely fragrance and position one either side of a door so that the perfume wafts in. These lovely daphne flowers bloom on the plant's new growth which means it can keep flowering right through until the autumn. The nectar-rich flowers will attract bees and other beneficial insects to the garden, helping to keep these valuable pollinators fed during months of the year when other food sources may be in short supply. Height and spread: 90cm (36"). Supplied in 13cm pots.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Caution: Irritant to skin and eyes. Toxic if eaten. Grow Daphne shrubs in moist, fertile, well drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Choose a position in sun or semi shade. When growing in containers use a soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Daphne plants resent root disturbance so try to avoid this when transplanting as this may delay plant establishment.
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established, Daphne bushes require only occasional attention. Pruning Daphne is best kept to a minimum, removing only occasional damaged stems and lightly trimming those that spoil the shape of the plant in summer after flowering.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.
