A beautiful Japanese Snowflower. This is a lovely compact, white-flowering shrub for small and medium sized gardens. It can also be grown in planters on the patio. In summer, masses of scented, snow white flowers cover this shrub, and continue to flower for four months. Deutzia gracilis is a deciduous plant with lush lime green foliage in spring. It is well suited to many garden styles, and is perfect for white gardens, where all the plants are white flowering varieties. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread 100cm (39").

Grow Deutzia in any moist, fertile, well drained soil in full sun.

Feed and water Deutzia plants regularly until fully established. Once established, Deutzia shrubs will require little attention. After flowering, cut back the flowered shoots to a pair of healthy buds. On mature plants, remove a fifth of the oldest shoots from the base of the plant. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning.
