Deutzia x hybrida 'Mont Rose'

Grow Deutzia in any moist, fertile, well drained soil in sun or semi-shade.

Water regularly throughout the growing season until deutzia plants are well established. Deutzias require little attention. After flowering, cut back the flowered shoots to a healthy pair of buds. Deutzia can be pruned hard after flowering to maintain a shorter height of approximately 1m (39"). On mature plants cut back about one quarter to one fifth of the oldest shoots to their base, to promote strong new growth. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant in spring.
